Molly makes...a hiding place for the cords!

I recently became fed up with the unsightly view of cords all over my desk. Above is a picture of a little contraption I created to help with this problem. I'm sure there are several ways to do this but I devised this way because I had all this on hand. Weird? Maybe

I also wanted to have a way that would make it easy for me to take the cords away from the desk and take it to another area. A bit noncommittal.

What you'll need to make it:
  • liquid nails (I'm obsessed- it makes a weak girl feel powerful!)
  • piece of metal- I had this leftover from a different random project. It's actually something for roofing. I found it while scoping out Lowe's one day.
  • magnets
  • zip ties
  • hot glue gun

How to make it:

  • Attach metal piece to back of desk using liquid nails.
  • Tighten zip code around cord. I left a little room, in case I wanted to cut these later.
  • Glue magnet onto zip tie.

Nice and clean! No cords!

Molly makes...a good purchase!

Sorry for the awkward photo. I was home alone, okay? I just had to share this, so where better than the blogosphere? I was struck when I put my blush on the other day and for the first time ever, I reached the bottom. I bought this blush right after Christmas 2 years ago!! It was my first time buying an 'expensive' blush and I have been so happy with it! I wear blush every single day. Most people won't leave home with out mascara, I won't leave the house without blush. Although, unfortunately for those who run into me, I do at times run out with nothing on.

Two thumbs WAY up for NARS blush!

Molly makes...her cleaning supplies organized!

I saw this idea while scrolling on interest and quickly decided this would be a great solution for our cleaning supplies. I already had a hanging shoe rack I was no longer using (thank goodness our new closet has plenty of shelves!). So with a couple small screws we attached it to the inside of our closet door. We love it! We can see everything easily in one glance.

What you need to make it:
  • closet shoe organizer
  • 3-4 small screws (we used washers also- I don't really know why, my husband did it)
